that is alternate way for solution 6: you may try thus path:

1. double cliick on :My computer"
2. then C:\
3. then "Document and setting"
4. then "Appliaction Data"
5. then "microsoft"
6. then "Internet explorer"
7. then "QuickLaunch"

you will found the shortcut "show desktop"
